Dana Depta • 24 January 2022

General Information

• Please make sure the patch test is done at least 4 days hours before your appointment. This will give you enough time to cancel your appointment without losing your deposit if you have a reaction to it.

• If you have a serious medical condition listed here, please inform us before your appointment.

• If you have any medical condition and are under doctor’s supervision you will have to get a letter from GP to prove that you are suitable for permanent makeup treatment.

You CANNOT BE PREGNANT or BREAST FEEDING. No exceptions.

• Do not come to your apointment with a sunburn on the area that will be treated. If you do, we cannot treat you and you will forfeit your deposit.

• Do not go tanning for several weeks before your appointment (no sprays too).

• Avoid alcohol or caffeine prior to the procedure. This will mimimize any oozing and/ or swelling after the procedure.

• If you use Botox, do not use for at least 8 weeks before or 8 weeks after the treatment.

• Do not work out on the day of your treatment.

• Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, fish oil and/or Ibuprofen unless medically necessary, 48-72 hours prior to your procedure.

• Do not have facials or LED treatments 4 weeks prior to your procedure.

• You must be off Retin-A or Retinols for 7 days prior to your appointment and avoid using on or around the area for 30 days after. If you resume the Retin-A or Retinols after the 30 days, please know that the continued use will fade your permanent makeup prematurely.

• If there are any blemishes, pimples, active cold sores, irritation of the skin, we will not able to do the procedure until the blemish or area of concern is gone.

• Please note that we have a very busy schedule. Please arrive on time as if you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may need to be rescheduled and you will be asked to pay another deposit.

• Wear comfortable clothing.

• Expect to be at the shop for a few hours. There is parking outside (pay by phone) or a local Sainsburys that offers free parking if you spend a minimum amount there.

• You may experience extra sensitivity around your menstrual cycle. You may want to bear this in mind when booking your appointment.

Eyebrows

  • Do NOT dye or wax your eyebrows 1 week prior to your appointment. If you tweeze or thread your eyebrows, make sure you leave at least 4 days after the session for your treatment.

  • Feel free to wear eyebrow makup to the appointment, but please limit eye makeup.

  • Stop using any Vitamin A, glycolic acids, exfoliation)on the brow area 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

Lips

  • If you want larger/ fuller lips and plan on getting fillers, do this at least 4 weeks before.

  •  It is recommended to take anti-viral medication 3 days before and 3 days after the treatment to supress cold sores.

  • Gently exfoliate the lips each day for 7 days before the treatment. Apply a moisturising lip balm after doing so.

Eyeliner

  • Do not wear contact lenses during the treatment (and for 24 hours after).

  • Do not perm your eyelashes or dye them for at least 7 days before.

  • Bring sunglasses to the appointment as your eyes may be sensitive to the light after.

  • Stop using any growth serums for at least 30 days before. This is very important.

Why Tattooed Eyebrows Turn Yellow after Laser Removal & How to Effectively Remove the Pigment If you're experiencing yellowing of your tattooed eyebrows after undergoing laser removal, you're not alone. This is a common issue that many people face when trying to get rid of eyebrow tattoos, especially those that have been done using older ink formulations. The good news is that with the right approach and the help of an experienced professional, you can successfully remove yellow pigments and restore the natural look of your brows. In this blog post, we’ll explain why tattooed eyebrows turn yellow after laser removal, what steps you can take to further remove the pigment, and how I can help you with this process, leveraging years of expertise in tattoo removal. Why Do Tattooed Eyebrows Turn Yellow After Laser Removal? Tattooed eyebrows often turn yellow after laser removal due to the nature of the pigments used in the tattoo ink. Many eyebrow tattoos are made with inks that contain red, blue/ black and yellow to make up different shades of browns. When these pigments are broken down by the laser during the removal process, they may react differently based on their chemical composition. Here’s why this happens: 1. Pigment Breakdown: Tattoo removal lasers work by targeting the ink in the skin and breaking it down into smaller particles. When the laser hits the tattoo ink, the pigments may not always fade evenly. Some pigments, particularly those with red or orange undertones, can react to the laser by turning yellow or even greenish, as they interact with the skin’s natural undertones and the laser's energy. 2. Incomplete Removal: In some cases, laser treatment may not fully eliminate the tattoo pigment on the first pass. When pigments aren't completely broken down, they can settle in a different hue, such as yellow, as they attempt to dissipate. 3. Ink Quality and Composition: The quality of the tattoo ink used plays a significant role in how the pigments react to laser removal. Lower-quality inks, especially those used in eyebrow tattoos, may contain substances that change colour or behave unpredictably when treated with laser energy. Yellow can also be used as a modifier in pigments. Often, blue and red can be removed easily, leading to the yellow to be leftover as laser ‘doesn’t see’ yellow. Can Yellow Pigment Be Removed? Yes, yellow pigments in tattooed eyebrows can be removed, but it may require additional treatments. While laser removal is effective at breaking down tattoo ink, not all pigments respond the same way. Yellow pigments, in particular, can be tricky. However, there are options available to help ensure the complete removal of stubborn yellow hues. Why Choose My Services for Eyebrow Tattoo Removal?
